We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our client's team in the central kitchen specializing in bakery and pastry. The ideal candidate will support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality production, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and optimizing efficiency.
The Role
1. Operational Management:
Assist in managing daily operations of the central kitchen, focusing on bakery and pastry production.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of products.
Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement of raw materials and supplies.
Coordinate the orders with the suppliers
2. Quality Control:
Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards.
Conduct regular quality checks and audits.
Implement corrective actions for any deviations in quality.
3. Team Supervision:
Supervise and train production staff on best practices and standard operating procedures.
Schedule shifts and manage workforce to ensure optimal coverage.
Foster a positive working environment and address any employee concerns.
4. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
5. Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to implement new procedures and technologies.
Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
6. Customer Service:
Address customer inquiries and complaints related to bakery and pastry products.
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and preferences.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality products and timely delivery.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry, preferably in a bakery or pastry production environment.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
