Senior Accountant

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the food service and retail industry, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. A proven background in a MNC will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and manage budgets; assist in financial planning and analysis.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee all general ledger functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings and other statutory requirements.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors for periodic audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Financial Systems: Utilize and enhance financial software systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or similar certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the food service or retail industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations.
- Language: Fluent in English;
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
