Senior Internal Auditor

The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for executing audits in accordance with the Approved Annual Audit Plan. They will conduct special reviews, assignments, and investigations across our group, focusing on identifying areas of risk and control deficiencies while proposing solutions to mitigate these risks. 

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
  • Professional Standards: Advanced knowledge of the standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
  • Report Writing: Ability to independently draft comprehensive audit reports.
  • Autonomy and Collaboration: Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a professional audit team.
  • Presentation Skills: Persuasive presentation skills to effectively communicate and gain acceptance of audit recommendations.
  • Analytical and Investigative Abilities: Strong skills in analyzing data and conducting thorough investigations.
  • Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving capabilities to address and mitigate risks.

Expected Qualifications

  • Educational Background: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
    • International professional audit qualification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CA.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of experience in internal audit.
    • Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute audits as per the Approved Annual Audit Plan.
  • Conduct special reviews, assignments, and investigations within various departments.
  • Identify areas of risk and control deficiencies.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate identified risks.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Travel as necessary within and outside the UAE to perform audit duties.
