The Role
Input and align Shipping Agencies' plans and actions with Long-Term Strategy, Business Plan, and Annual Budgeting Process.
Contribute to department budget preparation, including performance forecasts, income predictions, action plans, and staffing needs for shipping agencies.
Review Shipping Agency budget and revenue performance, and submit frequent financial updates to VP
Sales, Operations, and Business Development
• Acquire new business, maximize income, and retain global clients.
• Managed sales strategy for each area of the Shipping Agency.
• Manage all client relationships as the key contact for Shipping Agency.
• Collaborate with business unit managers to generate bids and secure new business.
Lead negotiations and administration of Shipping Agencies' services, consultants, clients, and programs.
• Keep Shipping Agency operations running smoothly and efficiently.
• Issue delivery orders for all Company Agency vessel consignments.
• Identify system improvements to enhance claims processing, P&I services, and container operations (managing agency container flow and coordinating backloading per liner instructions).
• Oversee sales efforts, pipeline management, and design a systematic method to encourage desired behavior and success.
• Drive growth by selling additional products and services of COMPANY.
• Ensure project delivery meets operational and performance goals and objectives.
• Represent department/company at trade events and maritime/logistics exhibitions.
• Key role in tenders, contract renewals, DA/Invoice processing, receivables, and outstanding accounts.
• Implement operational and commercial tools, including environmental impact management, ISO certification, and BSC certification, to enhance the department's portfolio. Manage risk to improve other portfolios.
Requirements
Proven record in similar role
15+ years in maritime industry
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration or Economics
Needs great communication and presentation abilities
Welle versed in MS Office
Fluent English
