SENIOR BUSINESS PLANNING & PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST

Job Scope:
Responsible for developing and implementing CLIENT’s business planning and organizational performance activities to effectively promote and embed of a culture of continuous improvement.  This includes drafting CLIENT’s strategic plan, consolidating Directorates’ business plans and developing, assessing and evaluating key performance indicators and targets in coordination with CLIENT’s senior management team.
 
 
Job Responsibilities:
Business Planning
  • Drafting CLIENT’s strategic objectives in coordination with the senior management team
  • Developing CLIENT’s strategic plan and communicating it to all Directorates, ensuring all staff understand their role in fulfilling organisational strategic objectives
  • Implementing CLIENT’s strategic non-corporate plan, identifying areas for improvement in coordination with the senior management team
  • Consolidating each of CLIENT’s Directorate business plans, coordinating with Directors to ensure all relevant information is accurately captured before submitting to CLIENT for approval
  • Monitoring both the implementation, and adherence to, CLIENT’s consolidated Business Plan
  • Implementing and monitoring internal projects (e.g. strategic change programmes), updating the Regulation & Business Planning Director and senior executive team with overall progress (e.g. risks, issues, benefit realisation etc.)
 
Organisational Performance Management
  • Developing CLIENT’s organisational performance framework in coordination with the senior management team
  • Coordinating with Directors to develop accurate key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets, ensuring alignment with CLIENT’s consolidated business plan and strategic objectives
  • Analysing, evaluating and reporting organisational performance against KPIs and targets
  • Developing periodic performance reports (e.g. performance dashboards, balanced scorecards etc.) for submission to the Regulation & Business Planning Director and senior management team
  • Identifying and evaluating organisational performance risks, developing mitigation/action plans where necessary in coordination with relevant Directors
  • Providing on-going support and advice to Directorates to facilitate organisational excellence and continuous performance improvement
  • Researching and implementing tools, practices and/or methodologies designed to promote organisational excellence, modifying where necessary to adapt to CLIENT’s specific requirements
 
Directorate Business Planning and Performance
  • Contributing to the development and achievement of department key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets
  • Providing colleague feedback and coaching where necessary
 
 
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or another relevant discipline
  • Masters’ Degree in any related field is preferable
  • Project Management certification is preferable (e.g. PMI, Prince 2 etc.)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar strategic project management role
  • In-depth knowledge of business planning practices, tools and methodologies as well as performance management frameworks (e.g. performance dashboards, balance score card etc.)
  • Experience in implementing and managing internal projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • English language is mandatory, Arabic speaking is an advantage
